More Practical Fully Homomorphic Encryption

In this paper, we first modify the Smart-Vercauteren’s fully homomorphic encryption scheme [SV10] by applying self-loop bootstrappable technique. The security of the modified scheme only depends on the hardness of the polynomial coset problem, removing the assumption of the sparse subset sum problem in the original paper in [SV10]. Moreover, we construct a non-self-loop in FHE by using cycle ke...

Symmetric Somewhat Homomorphic Encryption over the Integers

We describe a symmetric variant of homomomorphic encryption scheme by van Dijk et al. [DGHV10], semantically secure under the error-free approximate-GCD problem. We also provide the implementation of the scheme as a C/C++ library. The scheme allows to perform “mixed” homomorphic operations on ciphertexts and plaintexts, eliminating the need to encrypt new ciphertexts using the public key for so...

Practical Fully Homomorphic Encryption without Noise Reduction

We present a new fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) scheme that is efficient for practical applications. The main feature of our scheme is that noise reduction considered essential in current FHE schemes, such as boot strapping and modulus switching, is not needed in our scheme, because it allows arbitrarily large noises in its ciphertexts. A ciphertext in our scheme is a vector with its dimens...

Bootstrapping for HElib

Gentry’s bootstrapping technique is still the only known method of obtaining fully homomorphic encryption where the system’s parameters do not depend on the complexity of the evaluated functions. Bootstrapping involves a recryption procedure where the scheme’s decryption algorithm is evaluated homomorphically. So far, there have been precious few implementations of recryption, and fewer still t...

Preserving Privacy of Cloud Data Using Homomorphic Encryption in MapReduce

In recent years, outsourcing large amount of data in cloud and how to manage the data raises many challenges with respect to privacy. The concerns of privacy can be addressed if cloud users encrypt the data deployed in the cloud. Among the various cryptographic encryption schemes, homomorphic scheme allow to perform meaningful computations on encrypted data. In this context, the research deals ...
